that Bartiromo had \u201cbet big\u201d on Trump as she sought to expand from her Wall Street roots into political coverage and potentially land a Fox News primetime role.\n\n\n\nThe outlet reported that her relationship with Trump helped boost her ratings and following among conservative viewers, marking a shift for an anchor who had spent decades primarily covering markets and the economy.\n\n\n\nFormer Fox Business and CNBC colleague Dennis Kneale told Business Insider at the time, \u201cAs Trump came under attack, Maria stepped up to take a stand and let her thoughts be
