                    "Maria Bartiromo, the one-time CNBC darling who parlayed her success in covering Wall Street to a job at Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network, has heard the closing bell ring for her at the news organization.\n\n\n\n\n\t\u201cWe thank Maria for her work over the last 12 \u00bd years and wish her all the best on her next chapter,\u201d the company said in a statement Thursday.\n\n\n\n\n\tBartiromo has not been on air since August 9, and the last episode of the show that had been built around her \u201cMornings with Maria\u201d aired Thursday morning on Fox Business Network. She did not appear on air to bid farewell to her viewers and she has \u2014 so far, at least \u2014 not posted any statements regarding her departure on social media.\n\n\t\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\tFox Business Network plans to revamp its daytime programming lineup in weeks to come. \u201cMornings With Maria\u201d will be  retitled \u201cMornings with Fox Business\u201d and employ a rotation of anchors. \u201cMaria Bartiromo\u2019s Wall Street,\u201d\u00a0which airs weekly on FBN Fridays, will become \u201cFBN\u2019s Wall Street\u201d and will be hosted by Cheryl Casone this week and then rotating anchors following.\n\n\n\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tPopular on Variety\t\t\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\n\n\n\n\n\n\tOn Fox News Channel, Jason Chaffetz will anchor Bartiromo\u2019s long-running Sunday show, \u201cSunday Morning Futures:\u201d this week, and a new host will be announced at a later date.\n\n\n\n\n\tThe reasons for the split could not be immediately determined, but Bartiromo has increasingly reveled in right-wing politics, and some of her on-air remarks during Fox shows have spurred speculation about why a top-tier business journalist was going down rabbit holes and bringing up conspiracy theories.  In June, Bartiromo read an apology on air after entrepreneur and \u201cShark Tank\u201d personality Kevin O\u2019Leary, appeared on her program a month earlier and made the false accusation that detractors of a data center he wanted to build in Utah were being funded by China.\n\n\t\n\n\n\n\n\n\tBartiromo was one of a handful of Fox News personnel cited in materials tied a $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit filed by voting technology company Dominion Voting against Fox News in 2021. Fox ultimately agreed to settle the matter for a whopping $787.5 million. The allegations said Bartiromo had allowed false claims about the 2020 presidential election to air on the network as part of a bid to keep angry viewers from abandoning its program\n\n\n\n\n\tIn past cases, Fox has parted ways with prominent anchors because they fell out of favor, as Tucker Carlson did in 2023; because of scandal, as was the case with Bill O\u2019Reilly in 2017 when he was accused of multiple examples of sexual harassment which he denied; or because the journalist was moving into politics, as happened with former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee, who left behind weekend hosting duties on Fox News as he contemplated a run for the White House in 2015.\n\n\n\n\n\tBartiromo\u2019s arrival at Fox in 2014 was meant to put other news organizations on notice that the company was serious about getting into deeper coverage of the financial markets. At the time, Baritromo said her  intent was to have \u201cdealmakers\u201d on the show who werfe intimately involved with the headlines of the day. During an interview with Variety, she suggested that top executives were frustrated with news programs that had five or six people on the screen all talking at once, or business-news shows that place an emphasis on \u201csound bites\u201d and \u201cquick-buck type things.\u201d The goal, she said, to make FBN more of a must-see for a specialized and knowledgeable audience. \u201cWe need more depth,\u201d she said."
