According to NBC, three members of its team had been interviewing 51-year-old Aida Ahmed Abdullah, who claimed that she and her family had been driven out of their home by settlers. During the interview, a car pulled up with (https://www.jpost.com/middle-east/article-906286) several masked men inside , one of whom leaned out of the window. Video of the incident shared by NBC showed the masked men attacking another car with a stick, as well as the person filming the video. NBC News international correspondent Matt Bradley reported that he had been hit twice in the arm, saying that the attackers “jumped out, beat us, then jumped back in the car.” Other people who were reportedly wounded during the attack were an NBC cameraman, NBC producer Lawahez Jabari, and Abdullah herself, who was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. In their press release, the council demanded that Israel locate the perpetrators of the attack and put them on trial. “Harming journalists is a direct violation of the public’s right to know, and therefore any attempt to terrorize coverage teams with violence must be met with zero tolerance and punished to the fullest extent of the law,” the council stated.
