BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WTVA) – Order and safety are the goal of officers who will be protecting athletes and fans this football season. No matter the stadium or campus, law enforcement will be keeping an eye out for threats while also building relationships with those enjoying the Friday night fever.“We like to have people stationed at entrances of the games. We like to have high visibility,” said Prentiss County Sheriff’s Office Inv. Aaron Stolz. “We have patrol cars parked in front. Obviously, each one of us that are there, we will be in full uniform. That way people will know who to come to if any help is needed. We obviously want to avoid any kind of threats or any danger.”Agencies will be utilizing full and part-time officers this season. They are trained to spot suspicious people, activities, and threats.Copyright 2026 WTVA. All rights reserved.
