                    "Fox News anchor Bret Baier rebutted President Donald Trump during Thursday\u2019s Special Report.\nAs the program aired, Trump expressed displeasure with Chief Correspondent Jonathan Hunt, who, during the show, gave a straightforward report saying there are \u201cno significant developments\u201d in efforts to bring an end to the Iran war. Hunt noted that Trump had said earlier in the day that there are currently no talks happening between the U.S. and Iran.\n\u201cWe\u2019re not looking to meet or anything,\u201d Trump said in a clip aired during the segment.\nHunt further reported that \u201cIran\u2019s economy is being squeezed\u201d by U.S. sanctions.\nShortly after the segment aired, Trump posted a critique on Truth Social:\nJonathan Hunt of FoxNews did a particularly inaccurate report on the Failing Islamic Republic of Iran. I don\u2019t want to meet, they do. In fact, they are begging to make a deal. Bret Baier should straighten out his flunkies, for a change! President DJT\nLater during Special Report, which airs live, Baier took a moment to address Trump\u2019s post and noted that Hunt made no such claim that the president said he wants to meet with the Iranians. Baier read the post in its entirety and gave the following rebuttal:\nFirst of all, Jonathan Hunt\u2019s not a flunky. He\u2019s a great reporter.\nSecond of all, Mr. President, we didn\u2019t say you wanted to meet. In fact, we played a soundbite you didn\u2019t want to meet and there are no negotiations. We said that Treasury Secretary Bessent is hoping to meet with G-20 countries to increase the pressure on Iran and Gulf State allies, including Qatar, are inside Tehran trying to get Iran to agree to concessions.
