LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) – A Kentucky man is facing charges in Mississippi.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said Chad Eugene Brinkley, 54, of Ludlow, Ky., was arrested on two counts of grooming.

This comes after an investigation that was kick-started by a report by a student to their school resource officer.

The child told the SRO that an online acquaintance had begun talking inappropriately.

The officer located and preserved critical evidence for the investigation, the sheriff’s office reports.

Brinkley was arrested by U.S. Marshals out of state and had his bond set at $75,000.

Ludlow, Ky. is on the southside of the Ohio River, southwest of Cincinnati, Ohio.
