SALTILLO, Miss. (WTVA) – A fire chief marked his last day with his team on Monday.

Saltillo’s Chief Chris Jenkins is retiring after 17 years of serving the community.

The City of Saltillo said he brought dedication, leadership, courage, and unwavering commitment to his job in protecting the city’s citizens.

The city added that he made a lasting impact on the department as well.

The incoming chief is Jamie Thomas.
