TISHOMINGO COUNTY, Miss. (WTVA) – A man has pleaded guilty to aggravated assault.
On Wednesday, 40-year-old James Richardson pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and was sentenced to 18 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
District Attorney Jason Herring said the charge stems from his involvement in an October 2022 assault on Robert Andrew Huddleston, Jr.
This was a companion case to 38-year-old Randy Barrett Kelly, of Arkansas, who was recently sentenced to 30 years in prison for killing Huddleston.
Authorities reported that firefighters found Huddleston’s remains after putting out a fire at a Hill Road residence in October 2022.
