                    "Aug 22 (Reuters)\u00a0\u2013\u00a0Iran has granted permission for a number of Iraqi oil tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz following repeated requests from Baghdad through various channels, Iran\u2019s state news agency IRNA reported on Saturday.\n\n\n\nIRNA said obtaining special permission for Iraqi tankers was one of Baghdad\u2019s main requests during Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf\u2019s visit to Iraq.\n\n\n\nIraqi President Nizar Amedi said on Saturday that\u00a0Iran\u00a0had facilitated the passage of vessels carrying Iraqi oil through the Strait in recent days and Baghdad had discussed the export\u00a0of Iraqi oil through Hormuz with Iranian officials.\n\n\n\nThe issue remained complicated, he added, speaking at the Baghdad Dialogue policy conference.\n\n\n\nRead Also: Thousands Of Trucks Haul Iraq\u2019s Oil Through Syria In Sign Of Hormuz Legacy\n\n\n\nIraq has been among the countries most affected by Iran\u2019s effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
